Miss North Yorkshire 2016 - Emily Austin
Emily Austin (18) from Northallerton was crowned Miss North Yorkshire 2016 at the Glitzy Live Final on June 3rd 2016 at The Swan Hotel, Teesside. The 2016 competition raised over £5,400 for our fantastic charity partner, Candlelighters. Emily, a journalism student, won a fantastic prize package including a full portfolio of images, a winners website for her reigning year worth £2000, £100 to spend at The Dressworx and £100 worth of bags and accessories from Lunaluxa. Emily also went on to represent North Yorkshire at the Supermodel England 2016 national final where she placed 1st Runner-Up! Emily had an incredible year as Miss North Yorkshire which included: modelling for The Dressworx and Fashion Pony, visiting Candlelighters to present the cheque for the amount raised during the 2016 competiton, judging 'Best Dressed Lady' at Ladies Day at Catterick Races, attending the Candlelighters awards as a special guest alongside Emmerdale's Matthew Wolfenden (David), interviewed Olympic Medal winner Laurence Whiteley, took part in the #smearforsmear campaign, modelled for the Cleveland Centre's Valentines Event, modelled in a Breast Cancer awareness campaign and was a special guest judge at the Miss West Yorkshire and Miss Tees Valley Live Grand Final!
